Risk Disclosures
*Trading and investing may result in the loss of some or all invested capital. Returns are not guaranteed.
Leverage Risk
Leverage increases market exposure using a smaller amount of capital. It can increase gains and losses alike, so a small market movement can have a significant financial effect.
Market Risk
Prices and investment values move with market activity, economic developments, political events and shifting participant expectations.
Liquidity Risk
A position or investment is not always capable of being closed, sold or converted into cash quickly, or at a favourable price.
Execution Risk
Orders are not always completed immediately or at the price visible when submitted. Market movement, liquidity and system conditions can all affect the final execution price.
Currency Risk
Exchange-rate movements can increase or reduce the value of international transactions, investments or portfolios.
Counterparty Risk
Another party to a transaction may fail, or be unable to meet its financial or contractual obligations.
Technology Risk
Platform, device, internet, market-data or other technical interruptions can affect information, access or order submission.
Portfolio Management Risk
Managed portfolios remain exposed to capital loss, market movements, liquidity, currency and concentration risk. Diversification cannot guarantee profit or prevent loss.
International Market Risk
International markets can involve different trading hours, currencies, settlement arrangements, regulations and political or economic conditions.
Clients should understand the service, its risks, its charges and its legal terms before proceeding. The explanations above stay at a summary level; the downloadable document contains the complete approved legal wording.
Client Classification
AETRAM classifies clients according to applicable regulatory rules and the type of financial service requested.
Classification May Consider

Client Categories
Depending on the assessment, clients may fall into different categories under our regulatory framework, each carrying its own level of protection, disclosure and service access. The exact categories, criteria and protections are set out in the approved Client Classification Notice, using the wording confirmed by Legal and Compliance.
How Classification Works
Step 1. Information is collected from the applicant.
Step 2. Documents and responses are reviewed.
Step 3. A classification is assigned where appropriate.
Step 4. The client is informed of the classification.
Step 5. Information is reviewed again when circumstances change.
Classification does not guarantee account acceptance, service access, suitability or investment outcomes. Clients should notify AETRAM whenever relevant circumstances or information change.
Order Execution, Principal Dealing & Conflicts of Interest
Order Execution
AETRAM handles orders according to the approved service, client agreement, market conditions and execution policy in effect at the time.
Execution factors may include:
The weight given to each factor can depend on the service, client, instrument and market conditions at the time. Order acceptance does not guarantee execution, timing, price or liquidity.
Principal Dealing
Where permitted and disclosed, AETRAM may act as principal to a transaction rather than solely arranging a trade with another party. This is the context in which our Financial Products Dealer licence applies: a dealing capacity, not a separate service offered through this website. The exact role AETRAM plays, the applicable pricing and the relevant risks are set out in the approved client documents.
Conflicts of Interest
Step 1. Information is collected from the applicant.
Step 2. Documents and responses are reviewed.
Step 3. A classification is assigned where appropriate.
Step 4. The client is informed of the classification.
Step 5. Information is reviewed again when circumstances change.
A conflict can arise whenever AETRAM's interests, or those of a related party, an employee or another client, diverge from the interests of a client. We manage this through:
