Frequently Asked Questions
Accounts and onboarding
Both individual and non-individual clients who meet our eligibility requirements can apply. Eligibility depends on your jurisdiction, client classification, financial circumstances and trading experience, all confirmed during our review process.
Two: the Standard Account and the Islamic Account. Both provide the same markets, platforms and published pricing. The Islamic Account is swap-free, so positions held overnight incur no swap or rollover interest.
Yes. Non-individual clients, such as companies, partnerships and other legal entities, can apply alongside individual applicants, subject to the relevant documentation and review.
It depends on whether you’re applying as an individual or a non-individual client. Individuals typically need a passport or Emirates ID, proof of address and financial details; non-individual applicants also provide incorporation and ownership documents. The application lists exactly what is needed as you go.
Most applications are reviewed within a few business days once all documents are received, and we keep you informed throughout. Approval is not automatic.
AETRAM determines your classification during review, based on your circumstances, knowledge and experience and the applicable regulatory criteria. It cannot be confirmed by selecting an option on the website.
Platforms
MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, on web, mobile and desktop. MT4 is the classic FX platform with MQL4 automation; MT5 adds more timeframes, more indicators and MQL5 algorithmic trading across all approved asset classes.
Yes. The demo environment mirrors the platform with simulated funds. Demo results do not predict live trading outcomes.
Once your account is approved, secure platform-access instructions are sent to your registered email address, and never through any other channel.
Maintenance is scheduled outside peak market hours wherever possible. Access may be briefly unavailable while it runs; positions and orders remain on record throughout.
Pricing and charges
The spread is the main cost, built into the price you see. There are no commissions on the Standard or Islamic Account, no platform fees and no deposit, withdrawal or inactivity fees from AETRAM. Full pricing is on the Pricing & Charges page.
Adjustments applied to positions held past the daily cut-off of 5pm New York time. Islamic Accounts are swap-free and carry no such charges.
Yes. Spreads are variable and widen around news, market openings and periods of low liquidity. The live spread is always visible on the platform before you trade.
Orders and execution
Orders placed on the platform are received and processed under our order execution arrangements, and may be executed by AETRAM or transmitted for execution. In certain transactions AETRAM may act as principal or counterparty, where applicable and disclosed.
Market, limit and stop orders across all approved products, with one-click trading on the platform. No order type removes risk, and a stop-loss does not guarantee execution at a specific price.
The difference between the price you requested and the price at which your order executed, most common in fast or thin markets.

Supply decisions, geopolitical events and inventory data. Sharp moves and gaps around scheduled announcements are common, which is part of the product’s risk.
Global Indices
A contract whose value follows an entire stock index, such as the US SPX 500 or UK 100, letting you trade the direction of the whole market without buying the individual shares.
You buy if you expect the index to rise or sell if you expect it to fall, with profit or loss determined by the index’s movement and your position size. Each index is quoted in its home currency, which adds exchange-rate exposure.
17 benchmarks across the United States, Europe and Asia, from the US SPX 500 and US Tech 100 to the UK 100, Germany 30, Japan 225 and Hong Kong 50.

Trading pauses during parts of the weekend while underlying markets keep moving, so positions can reopen at very different prices. Exact hours are in the specification tables.
Cryptocurrency CFDs may not be suitable for most clients. Our review process considers appropriateness for higher-risk products, and we recommend reading the risk disclosure carefully before trading them.
Crypto Pairs
Established digital assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Ripple quoted against the US dollar, euro, yen or gold, traded in the same way as currency pairs.
Smaller versions of the Bitcoin and Ethereum contracts, reducing position size for finer control. They reduce size, not the character of the risk.
Yes. XBT/XAU quotes Bitcoin against gold, combining the movements of two markets in one position, with the elevated risk profile that implies.
