How Trading Costs Work

Spreads

The spread is the difference between the buying price and the selling price displayed for a product, and it is the main cost of trading with AETRAM. Spreads vary with the instrument, market conditions, liquidity, trading hours and volatility. The typical figures above show what to expect in normal conditions; live spreads are always visible on the platform before you place a trade.

Commissions

No commission applies on the Standard or Islamic Account. Trading costs are built into the spread, so the price you see on the platform is the price you trade.

Financing And Overnight Charges

Positions held past the daily cut-off of 5pm New York time carry a financing adjustment. For currency pairs it reflects the interest-rate difference between the two currencies; for index and crypto CFDs it is calculated on the notional value of the position using a benchmark rate plus or minus an adjustment. Crypto CFD financing accrues for every calendar day, including weekends. Rates are updated daily and published on the platform. Islamic Accounts are swap-free: no financing or rollover interest applies.

International Market Costs

International market transactions may carry additional third-party costs depending on the market and product, such as clearing, settlement or currency-conversion charges. Where a conversion applies, it is made at prevailing market rates, and any approved conversion charge appears in the charges schedule. Market and third-party charges may change.

Deposits, Withdrawals And Payments

Payment method Charge
Bank transfer Free from AETRAM; your bank may apply its own charges
Debit or credit card Free
Approved online payment methods Free

AETRAM does not charge deposit, withdrawal, inactivity or account maintenance fees. Third-party banks or payment providers may apply separate charges outside AETRAM's control.

How Trading Costs May Be Calculated

* A worked example, for explanation only.

Example transaction Buying 1 standard lot of EUR/USD, a position of 100,000 euros.
Spread cost At a typical spread of 1.2 pips, the cost built into the price is 12 US dollars.
Commission None
Financing None if the position is closed the same day; if held overnight, the published daily swap rate applies.
Estimated total cost to open and close the position within the day 12 US dollars.

Actual charges vary with market conditions, product, transaction size, account type and holding period. This example does not represent a guaranteed transaction cost and says nothing about the profit or loss of the trade itself.
