REGULATED BY THE UAE CAPITAL MARKET AUTHORITY

International Markets Trading

Trade global indices, industrial commodities and cryptocurrency CFDs from one regulated account in the UAE.

*International market investments involve risk. You may lose some or all of your invested capital.

What Is International Markets Trading?

What international market access means

International markets trading gives you exposure to markets beyond the currency world: the benchmark stock indices of major economies, the industrial metals that power global manufacturing, and established digital assets. You trade these markets through contracts whose value follows the underlying market, without owning the underlying shares or physical metal.

How clients access approved markets

Access is through an approved trading account on MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5. Once your application is reviewed and approved, every approved market on this page is available from the same account you use for currency trading.

How orders are placed

Orders are placed directly on the platform, at the live prices shown, using the full range of order types the platform supports, from instant market orders to limits and stops.

Who may be eligible to apply

The service is designed for clients who understand contract-based trading and its risks. Eligibility is confirmed through our application review, and access to certain products may depend on your classification and jurisdiction.

The main risks to understand

Each market carries its own risk profile. Index prices react to economic and corporate events, industrial commodities move with global supply and demand, and cryptocurrencies are among the most volatile products available. Currency movements add a further layer, because many of these markets are quoted in their home currency rather than in dollars or dirhams.

What Should Clients Consider?

Market Hours

Trading hours vary by market and time zone. The specification tables above show the hours for every instrument.

Many products are quoted in their home currency, so exchange-rate movements can affect your results.

Settlement

Settlement practices differ by market. Positions are cash-settled in the instrument's quoted currency.

Market Rules

Each market has its own rules and practices, particularly around openings, closings and public holidays.

Liquidity

Liquidity is deepest during an instrument's home market hours and thinner outside them.

How Orders Are Handled

Orders are placed through the trading platform at the prices shown, and are received and processed under our order execution arrangements. Depending on the product and market conditions, orders may be executed by AETRAM or transmitted for execution.

Market availability follows each instrument's trading hours, and orders placed outside those hours are handled when the market reopens. Positions are cash-settled in the quoted currency of the instrument, with any conversion applied at prevailing rates.

Trading costs may take the form of spreads, commissions or mark-ups, depending on the instrument, and are set out in the published charges schedule. In certain transactions, AETRAM may act as principal or counterparty under its licensed permissions. Where this applies, it is disclosed, and our conflict-of-interest controls are designed to identify, manage and disclose any conflicts so that clients are treated fairly.

Important Risks to Understand

Market Risk

Currency Risk

Exchange-rate movements can affect the value of positions quoted in other currencies, adding to or offsetting the market's own movement.

Liquidity Risk

In some conditions it may be harder to trade, and prices may move sharply between trades, particularly outside home market hours.

Execution Risk

Orders may not always execute at the expected price, particularly in fast markets or around market openings.

Settlement Risk

Delays or differences in market practices may affect settlement and processing.

Political & Economic Risk

Elections, policy changes, sanctions and economic developments can move international markets suddenly.

Counterparty Risk

Contract-based trading involves exposure to the counterparty to your transactions.

Regulatory Risk

Rules differ between countries and may change, affecting product availability and trading conditions. Cryptocurrency products face particular regulatory uncertainty.

These summaries are a starting point. Cryptocurrency CFDs and crypto pairs carry substantially higher risk than other products on this page. Read the complete risk disclosure before applying.
